Chen Xi, born in Shenyang, Liaoning in 1984, studied piano with her father at the age of three and a half. She had studied under several famous teachers, including Wang Guan, Zhao Wei, Sui Keqiang, and Lin Yaoji; In June 2002, Chen Xi, only 17 years old, was appointed by the Ministry of Culture to participate in the 12th Tchaikovsky International Music competition, and won the first prize of the violin competition - the silver prize (gold prize vacant), thus becoming the youngest first prize winner in the history of the competition. This award is also the highest prize that Chinese players have won in the international violin competition.In 2003, he was admitted to the Curtis Conservatory of Music in the United States with the highest score and studied under the renowned American educator, performer, and conductor Mr. Joseph Silverstein. After graduating from the Curtis Conservatory of Music in the United States, Chen Xi obtained a master's degree and the "Supreme Dean's Award" from Yale University. After completing her studies, Chen Xi resolutely returned to China and currently teaches at the Central Conservatory of Music, cultivating a group of music talents for the country.
